WHO WE ARE

 Alan grew up in Middle Tennessee and obtained his undergraduate education at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.  A former Paramedic, and with extensive experience in both the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit of what was Baptist Hospital and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care “Pods” of what is now St. Thomas West Hospital, he was accepted into Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia where he received the Janssen Pharmaceutical Award as the outstanding graduate in 1986. 

With approximately 40 years of clinical anesthesia and intensive care experience, Alan received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where his extensive work focused on multi-modal opioid-sparing methods to reduce narcotic needs both during and after surgery.  In recognition of his outstanding contribution to practice and to the betterment of the profession, the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists Board of Directors presented Dr. Davenport with the 2017 Practitioner of the Year Award at their annual meeting in Murfreesboro. As President and Director of Clinical Services for both Mid South Anesthesia, PC, and IntraVenous Solutions, PC, Dr. Davenport strives to foster clinical excellence in all areas of health care.

Jennifer grew up in Watertown, TN.  In year 2000, She became an RN.  She graduated anesthesia school from the distinguished Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia in 2010.

She has been a part of MSApc since 2011.  Her anesthesia skills are available at multiple anesthesia sites that we serve, and is prepared to answer any anesthesia questions you may have.  Have confidence that all patients are treated with respect and excellent quality care.

She is married with two daughters.  Together they all love to travel!  Jennifer also enjoys the beach, the mountains, and amusement parks.  She is always open to any new and exciting vacation ideas from patients.  She would love to hear about your travel experiences!

Stuart was born and raised in rural west Tennessee. He completed his degree in Nursing at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  He continued his education and training as a critical care nurse at the Trauma Center at UT Medical Center. 

He began his career in anesthesia at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and has been a proud member of the Mid South Anesthesia team in Nashville since 2017. In his spare time, He enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling the globe as much as possible, and spending time with his family and dog.

Although Ellen lived much of her childhood in Houston, TX, her family’s Alabama roots led her to The University of Alabama’s Capstone College of Nursing where she graduated in 1987.  Ellen was thrilled to be accepted into the Masters in Nurse Anesthesia program at the

University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center.  Ellen moved to Mobile Bay in Fairhope, Alabama where she practiced anesthesia for the next 16 years where she provided anesthesia care for pediatric ENT,

general surgery, open-heart surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and robotic-assisted surgery.  Ellen was single most of her life when she met her soulmate, a fellow CRNA who married her in 2017 and brought her to the Nashville area. Together they love to watch Alabama football games, cook on the grill, and watch old classic movies from a long time ago.

awake with a local anesthetic. It is a privilege to be able to offer a better option and I will strive to be a comfort both physically and emotionally to those under my care."

Tim graduated with a BS in Nursing in 1996 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  Tim worked for several years, then returned for his master's degree in anesthesia which he obtained from the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia in 2003.  He has practiced in many settings over the last 18 years and performed thousands of anesthetics. He has been married for almost 24 years.  He has 5 children all over the age of 18.  He enjoys working in Dentistry and performing safe caring anesthesia services.
